Beach Sweets is owned by Laura Smith
and Eric Thomson. Like most people we dreamt of owning our own business, but
never thought it would of be possible.

We are originally from Boston and have
lived in California for the past 11 years, moving for Eric’s job. Eric is a Poject Manager and Jeopardy Genius! I am atrained Chef and a graphic designer and wanted to open a business where I could use my culinary and creative skills.

We thought OB needed a candy store. and thought 5022 Newport Ave. would be the perfect location. Luckily John Small the property owner loved our idea.
It has been hard opening a store from scratch, there was so much we didn’t know. but we don’t regret anything. We are learning the hard way, but are blessed to be given such a great opportunity. We are very fortunate that John believed in us; we will be forever grateful.
